Dark Clouds 暗い雲
Living on the 10th floor of a condo in the Nagoya area of Japan, I get a lot of chances to look at the sky. Sometimes I take photos from our veranda, but more often I set up my tripod in the stairwell of our building, as is the case with these photos. On this particular day, I could tell on the way home that the clouds were building up for a show. I love when the sun peeks through under a layer of heavy cloud and makes streaks of light. For these photos I chose to process them in black and white because it really shows the contrast between dark and light areas and gives the clouds shape and depth.
