Classical Musicians Photo Shoot クラシック音楽家の撮影
Recently, I did a photo shoot with Risa, Mako, and Tomoko, three professional musicians from Nagoya. Risa plays the violin, Mako plays piano, and Tomoko plays the flute. We met at a small concert hall tucked away in a residential neighborhood, run by a very friendly couple. At first, they treated me to a private performance while I took some group photos and tested the lighting in the room. The room was a bit dark, so I had to shoot at a high ISO (mostly 3200) and use my flash.
The music sounded wonderful in that intimate setting. After the mini-performance, we moved on to posed shots, starting with more formal poses, and gradually becoming more relaxed and playful as time went on, even utilizing the sofa and lying on the floor for some shots. It was a pleasure to spend time with these beautiful and talented musicians and try to capture a bit of their elegance, as well as their playfulness, in these photos.
