Filling in the Gaps
My life is busy again, being back full-time at school, and it's also winter so I'm spending less time outdoors. Other than a photo shoot for a church next Sunday, I have no photo prospects on the immediate horizon, so I took my camera to school a couple days this week, just to keep my trigger finger from getting too stiff. I get to school early in the morning, before the students get there, so in the fifteen minutes of free time I have after my morning workout, and before I go to the teacher's room, I took a few photos of the reflections in the school fountain. Then, on my bike ride home, I rode along the river instead of my usual route, and stopped my bike to get a few random shots, including some long exposures. Nothing special, but it's like physical training, in my mind. You have to establish the habit of exercising and do it regularly. There will be days you feel good and push more, and other days where you are just going through the motions to keep up the habit. These photos were just trying to keep up the habit.
